  • This Privacy Policy reflects Lex Materia, LLC’s (“Lex Materia”) General Privacy Policy applicable to all visitors to any Lex Materia website or other digital presence, whether or not a Customer of Lex Materia. Customers of Lex Materia may have additional rights and terms as may be set forth in the applicable End User License Agreement, Order Form or other agreement between Lex Materia and the customer.
  • This privacy policy applies when you visit or use Our websites, apps and other services, including events, that refer or link to this privacy policy (each, a “Service”). This privacy policy may be supplemented by additional privacy statements, terms or notices provided to you.
  • We will indicate within the registration processes of our products and services and other registration forms what types of personal information are required and those that are requested. You may choose not to submit the requested information, but that may limit or prohibit the services that LexisNexis is able to provide to you.
  • In general, you can visit the Lex Materia, LLC (“Lex Materia”) website without telling us who you are and without giving any personal information about yourself. There are times, however, when we or our partners may need information from you.
  • You may choose to give us personal information in a variety of situations. For example, you may want to give us information, such as your name, address or e-mail to allow us to correspond with you, to process an order, or to provide you with a license or other subscription or services. You may give us your credit card details to buy something from us or a description of your education and work experience in connection with a job opening at Lex Materia for which you wish to be considered. We intend to let you know how we will use such information before we collect it from you; if you tell us that you do not want us to use this information to make further contact with you beyond fulfilling your requests, we will respect your wishes.   • If you participate in a Lex Materia discussion forum or chat room, you should be aware that the information you provide there will be made broadly available to others, potentially inside or outside Lex Materia, who have access to that discussion forum or chat room. Also, please recognize that individual forums and chat rooms may have additional rules and conditions. Each participant’s opinion on a forum or chat room is his or her own and should not be considered as reflecting the opinion of Lex Materia.

  • We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide services to you and fulfill the transactions you have requested, or for other essential purposes such as complying with our legal obligations, maintaining business and financial records, resolving disputes, maintaining security, detecting and preventing fraud and abuse, and enforcing our agreements. If you access the Service through a subscription administered or sponsored by your organization, we retain your organizational contact details after the termination of your organization’s subscription to continue to communicate with you.
